The patented replaceable stainless steel skid plate adds wear resistance in the most vulnerable area and can keep your cover both functional and looking good through multiple crashes. The plate is internally bolted and o-ring sealed so that you dont have to worry about trying to remove bolts with the heads ground off.
This cover does a great job to protect the engine from getting filled with debris is a crash, which is likely with a hard crash on the left side with the OEM cover.
We recommend buying part number 60-0247LO to better enhance the protection and looks for the Left side of your GSXR.
