HeliBars distinct styling maintains the stock aesthetic while giving the rider optimum height and pullback. Our unique design incorporates a key safety feature to keep the bars from rotating too far forward or rearward in the top triple tree.

Please note: A handlebar removal tool is required to remove the stock handlebars which are pressed in at the factory, they will not just “slip” out of the top cast triple tree. In order to aid in installation, HeliBars has produced a simple yet effective handlebar removal tool which will be included with your order. If your dealer / installer already has a removal tool, it can be excluded from your order.

Description:

Ken is a motorcyclist residing in Maine and he took delivery of the first K1200 GT in the state (see Street Cycles’ website for more info). After several rides Ken came to the realization that his upcoming 2 month tour of the Rockies would require a change in ergonomics. “I need to get the bars closer to be really comfortable. My reach is a bit short.”

Ken called Harry at Heli Modified and made arrangements to deliver his machine for product development. Harry had been waiting to get his hands on the new GT and after a short ride it was clear how to tip the comfort scale. Several prototypes later and many hours of refinement finished, Heli Modified introduced the Tour Performance ® bar relocation adapter for the K1200GT. Also fits the K1300GT.
